Citrus pen device E-Liquid in Bristol: the guide shortlist
Citrus in Bristol: 12 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Choosing a pen device for citrus
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.95 per 10 ml.
Citrus sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: citrus in Bristol works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus pen device really costs in Bristol
A citrus pen device from the starter options in Bristol costs about £2.95 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested citrus in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised £30 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.95 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle. Shipping of nicotine to Bristol runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On citrus the budget price and the premium price can sit within £2.95 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
How long does citrus in a pen device last?
In Bristol we measured 7 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
