How to tell a good pen device from a repack
Melon pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 12 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The honest read on melon: 12 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested melon in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where melon goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Bristol?
Yes, tracked to 2–4 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.54 per 10 ml liquid plus £45 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does melon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the melon blend itself harsh.
