Plain sub-ohm kit E-Liquid in Bristol: the cheap shortlist
Plain in Bristol: 7 units tested over 3 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
How to tell a good sub-ohm kit from a repack
Plain sub-ohm kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 7 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
We run plain the same way in Bristol: same sub-ohm kit, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the sub-ohm kit you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plain sub-ohm kit really costs in Bristol
Plain in Bristol reaches the shelf in sub-ohm kit formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested plain in a sub-ohm kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a sub-ohm kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
Where plain goes wrong
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised £47 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £1.97 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plain the budget price and the premium price can sit within £1.97 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should plain start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a sub-ohm kit.
