Coil life, liquid cost and the sour habit
The honest read on sour: 23 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Most people searching E-Liquid in Bristol are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the e-liquid bundle you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour e-liquid bundle really costs in Bristol
The honest read on sour: 23 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested sour in a e-liquid bundle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Pick the e-liquid bundle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for e-liquid bundle in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a e-liquid bundle arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where sour goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest e-liquid bundle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a e-liquid bundle that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for sour in Bristol must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the e-liquid bundle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
How much does a e-liquid bundle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.43 per 10 ml liquid plus £36 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within £2.43 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
