Tropical in Bristol: 23 units tested over 6 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Ordering E-Liquid to Bristol: the practical version
Tropical in Bristol reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Tropical starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 23 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical starter kit really costs in Bristol
If you are looking at tropical in Bristol, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested tropical in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £3.25 per 10 ml liquid plus £29 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does tropical in a starter kit last?
In Bristol we measured 6 to 23 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.

Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
