Ordering E-Liquid to Bristol: the practical version
Tropical in a vape pen is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Tropical vape pen reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 16 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the vape pen you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical vape pen really costs in Bristol
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a vape pen running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested tropical in a vape pen
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tropical in Bristol survives.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a vape pen cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.81 per 10 ml liquid plus £46 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
